Apple is expected to release a 5.7-inch iPhone, two 6.-inch iPhone models and a 6.7-inch iPhone 5G connection in 2020.
Apple plans to use Qualcomm's ultrasonic fingerprint sensor technology in an iPhone model, which will be released in 2020. IPhone makers can partner with Taiwan's touchscreen maker GIS to develop the iPhone for 2020 or 2021, which can use under-display technology, McArmar said on Wednesday. Qualcomm unveils the new 3D Sonic Max Ultrasonic Fingerprint Reader at the third annual Snapdragon Technology Summit on Tuesday.
Qualcomm provides ultrasonic fingerprint sensors for the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 smartphones. But iPhones can use more advanced versions of the technology on 2020 or 2021 rolls.
JPMorgan analyst Samic Chatterjee believes Apple will release a 5.5-inch iPhone, two 6.-inch iPhones and a 7.7-inch iPhone, with 4G in 2020.
Chatterjee predicts that the company could launch "world-facing" 3D sensing with the support of two high-end models (a .1.5-inch and a 7.7-inch) mmwave, as well as a triple-lens camera and enhanced augmented reality capabilities.
Although the two lower-end models (6.1-inch, 5.4-inch) won't have mmwave or world-facing 3D sensing, and will have dual-lens cameras.
According to the report, Apple could use Qualcomm's X55 modem on its 2020 iPhone, which supports both the MMWave and the sub-6GHz spectrum.
All four iPhone models will have OLEDs. Apple is probably using Samsung's OLED display, which is thinner than currently used displays.
